A Florida Concealed Weapon License (CWL), often referred to as a Concealed Carry Permit, Concealed Carry License (CCL), Florida Gun Permit, or Florida CCW Permit, is issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing.
A valid Florida CWL allows qualified individuals to legally carry a concealed firearm or other lawful weapon in accordance with Florida law. In addition to carrying privileges within Florida, a Florida Concealed Weapon License is recognized by numerous states through reciprocity agreements, making it valuable for individuals who travel frequently.
Although Florida now allows permitless concealed carry for qualified individuals, many residents still choose to obtain a Florida Concealed Weapon License because it offers important benefits, including interstate reciprocity and additional legal conveniences.

A Florida CWL is generally valid for seven years before renewal is required.
